There's so much you have to do when you're alive. I hate the conventional part of me who struggles with keeping up with what the ideal woman is supposed to look and be like, what latest innovation that'll make me happy or what a happy life is supposed to be like. I struggel with convention every day. It feeds me with unnecessary cravings and makes me compare myself with unrealistic visions. Living today, atleast in my generation equals to the eternal search and race towards getting acknowledgement from others. Getting seen. There once was a saying "I think, therefore I am. Todays version of that is "You see me, therefore I am". I don't have to stand out of the crowd. I just don't want to be a part of it. Tom Wait's rhythms, PJ Harvey's sensual attitude, Elliott Smith's reserved vocals, the mystique of Twin Peaks combined with Bjork's fresh originality www.myspace.com/christineowman Infos Erika Rosén So this is me: My name is Erika Rosén and I live on the Countryside (of Skåne), in the south part of Sweden. Music is, has been and will always be a big part of my life and the way of living. I have recorded many songs through the years, all through different bands, some bad songs, some short ones, some good songs, som odd ones and some with a bit of everything. I like to record new stuff as soon as the inspiration hits me. I have also toured and got the oppertunity to meet great, nice and fantastic people. Its somehow not easy to describe my own music, but I guess that some of my influences tells something - Sonic Youth, Lisa Germano, John Frusciante, Damien jurado, Mazzy star for example. Sometimes I make traditional indie/folk music and other days I make more dirty, guitarrbased songs combined with the drummachine. The alternative Indierock music from the 80-90ties is always present in my life. Simple recordings with a lot of love and emotions goes straight into me. During 2010 I will tour Germany and hopefully record many new songs, both me myself and in the bands I am in. My friends inspire me a lot, both to make, write my own music, perform it, to share it, to record it and live it. Thanks to all of you. You are all my source of inspiration.
