MAIBAUM 2019 – TRAINING INTERNATIONALER BÄNDERTANZ
Der Dresdner Maibaum wird am Sonnabend, 27. April 2019, um 11 Uhr auf dem Altmarkt zu Dresden von Sächsischen Zimmerleuten aufgestellt. 30 Studierende und WissenschaftlerInnen aus der ganzen Welt der TU Dresden tanzen den kunstvollen Bändertanz in grün und weiß zu einem Rautenmuster um den Maibaum. Dieser traditionelle Brauch bleibt damit in Dresden lebendig. Er zieht alljährlich viele Schaulustige zur Eröffnung des Frühjahrsmarktes ins Stadtzentrum. Nach dem Maibaumsetzen zeigt das Folkloretanzensemble "Thea Maass" der TU Dresden wunderschöne Tänze und alle sind zum „Tanz in den Mai“ eingeladen.
Die Aufführung des berühmten Bändertanzes wird als Tanzprojekt vorbereitet und Sie sind dazu eingeladen! Tanzerfahrung ist nicht erforderlich. Ein Video zum Tanzprojekt finden Sie auf Youtube: https://youtu.be/386XAJcq5Bs.
Das Training beginnt am Dienstag, 2. April 2019, um 19 Uhr, Alte Mensa, Mommsenstraße 13.
Weitere verbindliche Übungstermine: Do 4.4., Do 11.4., Di 16.4., Di 23.4., Do 25.4., um 19-20:30 Uhr

MAYPOLE 2019 – TRAINING INTERNATIONAL RIBBON DANCE
On Saturday, April 27th, at 11 o’clock, a maypole will be erected by local carpenters and bound in ribbon by 30 students and scientists from TU Dresden. The traditional ribbon dance with green and white ribbons as the Saxon colours will be performed by internationals from all over the world with their own national costumes. Through this event also Dresden keeps its traditions alive in the urban environment. The event is open to all interested people for viewing at the opening of the Dresden spring market on Dresden Altmarkt Square. Afterwards the Folk Dance Ensemble "Thea Maass" of TU Dresden shows more traditional dances and all guests are invited to join in some fun and easy folk dance choreographies.
To help that the dance can be shown, you are invited to participate in the dancing project, which trainings start on Thursday, April 2nd 2019, 7 to 8.30 p.m., at Alte Mensa, Mommsenstr. 13. Further training sessions will follow on Thu, April 4th, Thu, April 11th, Tue, April 16th, Tue, April 23rd, Thu, April 25th. The practice takes place from 7 to 8.30 p.m.
