New Idea Society is centered around its main creative force and songwriter Mike Law. For the last year and a half Law has been working on what he describes as the culmination of his recent projects, an album with no past, present, or future tense.  With a lyrical maze and thumping urgency "The World Is Bright And Lonely" highlights the excitement and energy the band possesses at shows as it was recorded totally live in the studio (yes vocals too) with almost no overdubs. Now with a full time band of Santos Montano on drums (Old Man Gloom, Zozobra), Chris DeAngelis on Keyboards and Super-Producer Andrew Schneider on Bass (Victory at Sea, Pelican, Unsane etc.) New Idea Society heads out across, the U.S., Japan, and Europe to bring their swirling melodies and breath to windstorm dynamics to life daily.
Hey, we are "radio burroughs" from berlin. It seems we are a complete band again so we started to rehearse and record a little bit and hope that we'll play some night... somewhere.
