Savage rhythms, shakin' chimpanzee tunes and Gorilla a go-go songs are what Nat King Kong (vocals), Chimp Krupa (drums), Chango Reinhardt (Lead Guitar), Paul McCaco (bass), Ape Turner (Rhythm Guitar) and Thelonious Monkey (organ) deliver on stage. Your party is not worth that name without this R'n'R barrel full of bananas, coconuts and peanuts that would make Esquerita cry of pleasure. A few months after picking up their instruments for the first time, they had already cut a first 7” with wild covers of “I Go Ape” and “Koko Joe” (Butterfly Records), which, by now, should be almost sold-out, and the world's awaiting for them to hit the big time with an all-monkey-themed (as always) LP out on Soundflat Records, which should hit your favourite record shop stands as early as Februrary 2010. In between, they've already smacked several human skulls around such places as Funtastic Dracula Festival (Valencia, Spain) or Do the Hala-Hala Festival (Cadiz, Spain), plus other venues around their home country, and they are about to bring their craziness around Europe in a tour which will take them to France, Germany and Switzerland, of all places. Formed by guys from spanish legendary underground bands like The Fabulous Ottomans, Imperial Surfers, Hollywood Sinners or Born Losers to only name a few; The Kongsmen are Simian Garage, R'n'R, beat, Rhythm and Blues or 50's punk: you put the label, they tear the stage down!
