Vorhang auf! - der Klangschneider schart seine Spießgesellen zur Nachgeburt der Burleske aus dem Geist der elektronischen Tanzmusik um sich. Als Taufpaten des folgenden Zyklenteils sind alle willkommen, die sich als ehrbare Diener des Dionysischen, Berauschenden und der Ekstase verschrieben haben. In 5 Akten wohnen wir den Metamorphosen der Mitwirkenden bei: ob entrückt zappelnd vor dem Altar der vier obersten Götzendiener, im Reigen ums Feuer tanzend oder bei der Stärkung am Gauklerkasten, - wir treiben den Katzenjammer aus. Nächtliche Harlekine, abgeranzte Feierflaneure, Exilkönige, Sirenen, Grand Dames, schwarze Witwen, Minnen, - die größten Nichtsnutze, die alles können: Sucht euch eure Rolle raus!

Szenenwechsel – ein Schnitt aus durchtanzten Weilen an der Berliner, Dresdner und Züricher Nachtluft und die nie enden wollende Suche nach dem magnetischen „Ntz“, seufzenden „Click“ & erleichternden „Clack“ setzen dieser Serie einen eindeutigen Stempel auf: 4/4 ohne Filter und Glitzer-Attitüden. Dabei wollen die grossen Sehnsüchte des gemeinen Feiervolkes nicht nur auditiv befriedigt werden. In schunkeliger Atmosphäre & liebevollem DIY Ambiente tanzt sich jeder in seinen eigenen Exzess, umringt von allen anderen Liebhabern dieses perkussiven Subgenres. Denn so viel steht fest: Szenenwechsel pickt sich gern die Rosinen aus dem Kuchen und hat dieses Mal besonders grossen Hunger mitgebracht:

(...) avant-jazz opus wrapped into a disco suitcase - Olaf Hilgenfeld and Iftah Gabbai aka Skinnerbox met under strange circumstances in Berlin back in 2003. The first years of their musical marriage has been a rather abstract electroacoustic journey that slowly got transformed by the neo-hippie rave renaissance that washed Berlin the years after. While growing up with places like the Bar25 and legendary party makers as the Bachstelzen, Skinnerbox always maintained a very individual identity, famous for their infamous improvised and truly live played shows (reaching another peak while performing a 12 hour live set at Kater Holzig, Berlin 2013) notoriously free from any obligation or trends. With a good dozen of singles on labels like BPitch Control, Darkroom Dubs, Bar25 Records, Tonkind and more plus a highly acclaimed full length studio album on Doxa Records ("If this is the future of techno, then we have a lot to look forward to!", Xlr8r) Skinnerbox have positioned themselves well above the inflationary electronic scene hailing from Berlin.
In 2009 Skinnerbox released the sbx 2049 - a drum machine which made them the first artists to release an instrument in conjunction with Ableton.
In 2014 - after 3 years of intense work - Skinnerbox ended up with another official Ableton Live instrument, an epic drum machine which is unlike anything you ́ve ever seen before: Time & Timbre.

x EDGAR PENG (Tonkind, URSL, Golden Gate / Berlin)

Robert Galic alias Edgar Peng is a musical multi persona who’s been active for more than a decade in Berlin's electronic music scene. Whilst currently better known as a part of the DJ team "Turmspringer", he has long been noted as the versatile producer and musician "RAS".
Combining Afrobeat, Trip Hop and Nu-Jazz in a very distinct manner. It worked in clubs, on the dance floor as well as live on stage with an eight piece band. This colourful yet unique sound brought him a lot of attention and credits throughout the world.
Alongside Tonkind, with its authentic and innovative sound, represented by a pool of international artists, he now runs a second label, GGCR, the Golden Gate club record label. At this unique venue he hosts weekly events, which provides him with a precious playground for interactive exchange and experimentation. As a producer and DJ, since 2012, he has gradually come to focus increasingly on his solo projects, with the intent to bundle all his experience into one figure. To date his releases on URSL and Tonkind have achieved top reviews and chartings, reflecting a strong new sparkle with an appealing musical vision.
