Besuch Damaskuszimmer Japanisches Palais

Im Japanischen Palais war früher die Uni­ver­si­täts­bib­lio­thek untergebracht. Heute kann man hier im Ethnologischen Museum Dresden viele Gegenstände und Ge­schich­ten aus der ganzen Welt be­stau­nen. Ein besonderer Schatz ist das so­ge­nann­te „Damaskuszimmer“. Gezeigt wird der Wand- und Decken­schmuck aus einem eleganten Wohnhaus in Syrien aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Im Moment wird es re­stau­riert. Deshalb besuchen wir am Sonntag, 4. Juni 2017, mit euch die Re­stau­rie­rungs­werk­statt. An diesem Tag könnt ihr auch syrische Musikinstrumente ausprobieren und noch eine weitere Ausstellung besuchen!

Im Preis enthalten:
- Besuch der Restaurationswerkstatt im Japanischen Palais
- Gemeinsames Mittagessen im Anschluss

Once the Japanese Palais in Dresden was housing the Dresden university library. Nowadays, you can marvel at objects and stories from all over the world in the Ethno­graph­ical Museum. A very special treas­ure is the so called „Damaskus Room”. It consists of a complete wall and ceiling ornament originally from an ele­gant town house in Syria from the 19th cen­tu­ry. At the moment it is being re­stored and on Sunday, June 4th 2017, we will take you to the restauration workshop.
Afterwards we can join the Syrian musicians that bring their instruments or check out another exhibition of the museum, that day.
