Dann her damit! Ich fang gleich mal an: Marillion mit Kaylei Do you remember chalk hearts melting on a playground wall Do you remember chalk hearts melting on a playground wall Do you remember dawn escapes from moon washed college halls Do you remember the cherry blossom in the market square Do you remember I thought it was confetti in our hair By the way didn't I break your heart? Please excuse me, I never meant to break your heart So sorry, I never meant to break your heart But you broke mine Kayleigh is it too late to say I'm sorry? And Kayleigh could we get it together again? I just can't go on pretending that it came to a natural end Kayleigh, oh I never thought I'd miss you And Kayleigh I thought that we'd always be friends We said our love would last forever So how did it come to this bitter end?
Do you remember barefoot on the lawn with shooting stars Do you remember loving on the floor in Belsize Park Do you remember dancing in stilettoes in the snow Do you remember you never understood I had to go By the way, didn't I break your heart Please excuse me, I never meant to break your heart So sorry, I never meant to break your heart But you broke mine
Kayleigh I just wanna say I'm sorry But Kayleigh I'm too scared to pick up the phone To hear you've found another lover to patch up our broken home Kayleigh I'm still trying to write that love song Kayleigh it's more important to me now you're gone Maybe it will prove that we were right Or ever prove that I was wrong

Moin, ich denke Morrissey (manche sagen, er wäre der beste Songschreiber aller Zeiten) ist hier glaube ich noch etwas unterrepräsentiert. Hier etwas von seinem vorletzten Album "You are the quarry" - "I have forgiven in jesus": Zitat I was a good kid, I wouldn't do you no harm, I was a nice kid, With a nice paper round Forgive me any pain, I may have brung to you, With God's help I know, I'll always be near to you But Jesus hurt me, When he deserted me, but, I have forgiven you Jesus For all the desire, You placed in me when there's nothing I can do with this desire
I was a good kid, Through hail and snow, I'd go just to moon you, I carried my heart in my hand Do you understand, Do you understand
But Jesus hurt me, When he deserted me, but, I have forgiven you Jesus For all of the love, You placed in me when there's no one I can turn to with this love
Monday - humiliation, Tuesday - suffocation, Wednesday - condescension, Thursday - is pathetic By Friday life has killed me, By Friday life has killed me, Oh pretty one, Oh pretty one
Why did you give me so much desire, When there is nowhere I can go to offload this desire? And why did you give me so much love in a loveless world, When there is no one I can turn to To unlock all this love? And why did you stick in self deprecating bones and skin?, Jesus do you hate me? Why did you stick in self deprecating bones and skin? Do you hate me?, Do you hate me?, Do you hate me?, Do you hate me?, Do you hate me?
