here is what i could do
the stuff in brackets is obviously questions or notes and not part of the text
it is very hard to correct this text without some of the context
Portrait without (a?) Face – Digital Image Processing as a Tool for Reconstructing the lost Face of a Portrait of Philipp Melanchthon (ok – i don’t really know what is meant by face here, if its the face of a human in the picture then its fine, if its the whole picture then maybe its better to put the lost detail or something)
The/this seminar paper analyzes how reliably the lost face of a portrait of Philipp Melanchthon, painted in the second half of the sixteenth century, from Cranach the Younger’s vicinity (I think this is supposed to be “by Cranach the Younger” but it depends on the context I think he is the painter in this case), can be reconstructed. With the help of digital image processing, the preserved painting was visualized, secondary sources like historical footage (Is this really footage? As in film footage?) and similar depictions were evaluated and a reconstruction sketch was created.
